Security Agency analyst Busisiwe Mkhwebane has been approved by the National
Assembly to become the new Public Protector, with only the DA voting against
her.
The Assembly
voted last night on the Ad hoc Committee's recommendation of Mkhwebane to
replace outgoing Public Protector Thuli Madonsela.
Mkhwebane
received 263 votes, well over the 240 she required, with 79 votes from the DA
going against her and one abstention by COPE.
