3 Correctional Services Officials died in an accident in the Eastern Cape

 Minister of Correctional Services Sibusiso Ndebele has sent his condolences to the families of three Eastern Cape Correctional Services Officials who were killed in a motor collision today.

In total seven people died and four were injured in a three car pile up on the N2 between Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Logan Maistry said according to Eastern Cape Correctional Services officials, the three officials were based at Correctional Services Area office in Queenstown, and were on their way to a meeting at St. Albans Correctional Centre in Port Elizabeth when the crash occurred.

Maistry said the three official’s two males and one female were killed instantly; our thoughts are with their families during this difficult time.
