7 people killed in three car pile up in the Eastern Cape

This morning an accident in the Eastern Cape claimed the lives of seven people and left four people injured. 

The accident involved a three car pile-up on the N2 at Seven fountains between Grahamstown and Port Elizabeth. 

The exact details of the cause of the accident are being investigated by police. 

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Chris Botha said that when they arrived there, there were tragically 7 people that died due to the very extensive injuries that they sustained.

“Three others were also injured and they were all stabilized on scene and then transported through to various hospitals for further medical care,” added Botha.
