The Congress of South African Trade
Union has congratulated the South African Students Congress as it turns 22
years.
Sasco was launched on the 6th
of September in 1991 at Rhodes University
Cosatu’s Vusumuzi Bhengu said Sasco continues to enlighten the journey that we are traveling as we craft a national democratic society under the banner of the ANC led alliance.
Bhengu added that Sasco has played a
crucial role in shaping their ideological orientation of COSATU.
"We have consistently engage Sasco
and relied upon them in providing us with a young revolutionary mind we wish
Sasco to continue contributing the life of the liberation movement and also the
alliance in general.”
