Health Department scoop three awards

At the annual Premiers Service Excellence Awards held recently, the Western Cape Department of Health scooped three awards a gold, bronze and silver award.

The awards for which projects and initiatives in departments are independently evaluated showcases and celebrate those units within departments which have clearly indicated a comprehension and inculcation of the Batho Pele Principles in the way they deliver services to their internal and external clients.

Health departmewnt's ,Mark Van Der Heer says these awards serves as evidence that the Department despite major challenges continues to care and always, where possible, goes the extra mile to render quality health care.

“It demonstrates that in the face of the tremendous pressures the public can be proud of the Departments achievements,” says Heer.
