NSRI Witsand volunteers were called out following reports of a small rigid inflatable boat that had capsized with three people on board yesterday.
“On arrival they found a father and his son holding onto the sides of their capsized boat, in calm sea conditions, 500 metres off-shore near to the back-line breaking surf,” said NSRI’s Craig
Lambinon
"The father confirmed that his daughter, who had also been on the boat when it capsized, had been taken safely ashore by an unidentified boogie-boarder. The father and his son were taken safely back to shore,” said Lambinon Neither the father or the son were injured and it was confirmed that the daughter had gone to their holiday home after she had been taken ashore by the boogie-boarder and that she too was not injured, according to Lambinon
