In a vigorous crime fighting easter weekend police arrested nearly 700 suspects in connection with a range of crimes such as selling drugs, murder, illegal possesion of firearms and car theft.
Police Spokesperson Billy Jones said police members described the weekend’s operations as “very successful”. Police say they will continue with such operations in the weeks leading up to the elections on April 22.
Police held these operations from Thursday until Monday citing their effort to prioritise crimes such as murder, rape, robberies and drunken driving.
