International World Cup journalists robbed

Newsflash News Agency reports that a group of World Cup journalists from Portugal and Spain have been robbed at their hotel in the Magaliesburg in Gauteng.

Reports say police did confirmed that armed robbers broke into the lodge north-west of Johannesburg early this morning.

The criminals fled with expensive equipment, passports and cash, but no one was hurt in the incident.

People on the scene say the robbers specifically targeted the journalists’ rooms.

Earlier, government appealed to all South Africans to show guests to the World Cup the best hospitality they have ever seen.

This followed the stampede at the Tembisa Stadium in Makhulong on the East Rand on Sunday during a friendly match between Nigeria and North Korea.
