16 year old Sophia Lopez-Leyland has been reported missing in Claremont.
Police spokesperson Captain Angie Latchman says Lopez-Leyland an American Tourist was last seen leaving Cavendish Square Mall in Claremont, last night.
“CCTV footage was checked by Police and Mall Security and it clearly shows Sophia exiting the Mall via Vineyard Road. A search was immediately launched at all night clubs and Shopping Malls in the immediate vicinity of Claremont.
‘Sophia is an African American, medium in height and build, fair in complexion; she has shoulder length brown hair with pink steaks and has a distinguishing piercing on her lower left lip,” said Latchman.
She added that at the time of her disappearance she was dressed in a pair of black jeans and white and a Grey Hoodie type of jacket.
Anyone who can shed light into the whereabouts of Sophia Lopex-Leyand is urged to please make contact with the Investigating Officer D/Sergeant Mintoor via the Claremont Joint Operational Centre, which was immediately established to coordinate the search.
