The Congress of South African Students says they feel the Basic Education Department will meet its demand for a postponement of preliminary matric exams.
The issue will be discussed with the education department today.
The Cosas president Ndoba Msimang says pupils should not be punished for their teacher’s mistake.
Cosas want students to be awarded a 25% course mark due to the three week public servants strike that caused disruptions at schools.
They fear that pupils might not make in the year end final exams.
