Government spokesperson Themba Maseko has squashed media speculation about a Cabinet reshuffle by saying such an event will not happen any time soon.
Maseko says despite media reports, a meeting held yesterday was used to discuss the country’s economic growth plan.
Maseko says Cabinet does not meet to discuss reshuffles in any case, adding that it is the right of the President to decide if and when changes should be made.
In a media briefing today in Union Buildings, Pretoria, minister of Economic Development Mr Ebrahim Patel said the meeting was strictly to discuss the new economical growth plan.
He said a target of creating 5 million jobs in the next 10 yeears has been put.
He added that job creation needs to increase from 25% to 50%.
