Task team deployed to uncover Shongweni Dam massacre

KwaZulu-Natal Community Safety MEC Willies Mchunu has condemned the massacre at the Shongweni Dam near Durban that occurred last night.

Six people were killed and two others seriously injured.

A13 year-old girl was who is believed to have been raped during the attack is one of the injured two.

Police say four gunmen entered two houses near the dam, which stand about 500-meters apart from each other, at about 11-PM last night.

Mchunu says a task team has been deployed to the crime scene to help find the killers.
