A brief but violent hailstorm and torrential rain in China
The storm swept through a mountainous region in the north-west of the country.
Reports say in just one hour, dozens of people were killed and others more. More residents are missing and tens of thousands have had to be moved from their homes.
Authorities have sent out large numbers of tents and beds to the area.
