The DA has denied claims that they plan to recruit Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi to join the DA.
Vavi has made a statement that DA leader Helen Zille has been calling for him to join the opposition party.
DA Spokesperson in the leader`s office Pierre-Charl du Preez said that Zille has not tried to recruit Vavi to the DA.
He added that it is impossible to absorb them into the same political party.
Du Preez said the DA and Cosatu both feel the same about corruption and e-tolling but differ on how to address South Africa’s biggest crisis which is poverty and unemployment.
