A man was critically injured when he was struck by an articulated truck on the N3 near Heidelburg in the early hours of this morning.
The cause of the accident is not known at this stage.
Netcare 911 Spokesperson Jeffrey says the man had stopped on the free-way to assess his car, when he was struck by the truck.
Wicks say the man was dragged down by the truck for about 100 meters.
Wicks added that he was treated at the scene and transported to the Hospital.
