It has been called upon by the office of the ANC Chief Whip on the National Press Club, to revisit their membership criteria.
This follows the incident where the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry Tina Joemat-Pettersson refused to address the members in the presence of DA shadow Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Pieter van Dalen.
Van Dalen said in the way Joemat-Pettersson acted last Friday, she violated the executive ethics code that governs the behaviour of ministers.
He added that she violated the codes by refusing to address the press club unless he left the meeting.
