Police in the Western Cape would like to issue a stern warning to communities who engage in kangaroo courts.
Police said that those who commit those acts will be charged.
This comes after a 19-year-old was burnt in Khayelitsha for suspected robberies.
The victim’s body was discovered in an open field on Saturday.
Police confirmed that the 19-year-old was out on bail for robbery and theft at the time of his death.
Police are appealing to communities to respect the lives of other people irrespective if the person committed a crime.
