The Somerset West residents have been protesting at the Sir Lowry`s Pass today.

The residents want to be addressed by the Mayor Patricia de Lille.

The Western Cape Community Safety MEC Dan Plato says the service delivery protestors are refusing to speak to anyone other than the Mayor.

The Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says the road will remain closed because the protestors have been burning tyres there.
