The Western Cape department of education says they are taking steps forward in terms of learner transport.
A Standing Committee on Education in Parliament announced areas where learner transport could be improved.

Provincial DA Spokesperson Cathy Labuschagne says they are also establishing an automated system to determine the actual number of learners using the service daily.
