Western Cape department of cultural affairs and sport will be hosting workshops next week

The Western Cape department of cultural affairs and sport wants to help South Africans trace back their family ancestries.

The department says its annual celebration of National Archives Week is also aimed at making South Africans more aware of what archives have to offer.

Department Spokesperson Daniel Johnson says that workshops on family history will be hosted over the next week.

Johnson says that the key things that they will be doing in the next few days is hosting workshops that are aimed at teaching people about their origin.
