The Western Cape Imbizo Focus Week kicks off this week with the First Imbizo taking place in Khayelitsha, Worcester and the Brooklyn Chest Hospital.

According to Project Manager of the Imbizo Focus Week Mansoor Jaffer- a lot of social issues within the Western Cape will be focussed on giving the Province’s residents a chance to interact with senior government officials.

“We will be concentrating on issues such as tuberculosis- since tuberculosis is a problem on the Cape Flats,” says Jaffer.

Western Cape Premier Ebrahim Rasool says they are determined to combine all the advances while still solving all challenges seriously.

The Premier said that the Imbizo week is an ideal opportunity to for the province to make their voices heard so that the Western Cape can be a home for all.

Some of the issues to be focussed on are health, safety and energy.
