On the 4th of April 2008, Premier Ebrahim Rasool, Minister Pierre uys and Minster Marius Fransman will open a new Emergency Medical Station (EMS) Ambulance station in Caledon.
The reason for opening an ambulance station is to improve the current ambulance services.
The new ambulance station will make increasing rate of accident on the N2 less severe. The station has 23 ambulance staff members, one paramedic and one station manager.
The services offered also includes four fully equipped ambulances for emergencies, one rescue vehicle and health net and 254 seater bus for out patient services the area.
