Paramedics say an 11-year-old boy is in a critical condition at a Johannesburg Hospital after he apparently received a knock to the head while playing rugby yesterday.
The boy is, said to be from a primary school in Bethlehem in the Free State,he collapsed on the field this morning and immediately started having serious convulsions.
Paramedics stabilised him and rushed him to hospital.
ER24’s Werner Vermaak says the boy was transferred to Johannesburg and underwent surgery to relieve pressure on the brain.
