National Police Commissioner Bheki Cele says he will supervise the investigation into the murder of a police sergeant. The sergeant was killed in cash in transit heist on the N1 between Pretoria and Johannesburg yesterday .
An armed gang ran a Coin security van and its support group off the road at the Maraisburg off-ramp.
Another police officer and two security guards were wounded after a shootout ensued.
The police have arrested four suspects and seized eight firearms, stolen cash and vehicles.
