A manhunt has been launched following the disappearance of a 44 year-old Sea Point man and his 6 year-old daughter.
The pair were allegedly last seen on Tuesday.
Sea Point police says Gerhard Van Gericke was last seen when his wife left him at their apartment together with their daughter Dominique on Tuesday.
According to police when the wife returned to the flat on Wednesday, she discovered that her husband had left with their 6 year old daughter.
“At the time of Dominique’s disappearance she was wearing a green short sleeved dress, green tights with a blue denim cap and sandals. She’s described as 1.10m tall, weighs approximately 25kg, black hair, and brown eyes with a dimple on her right check,” says police in a statement.
Meanwhile Gerhard was wearing blue jeans and a blue stripped shirt.
He is described as 1.7m tall, slim built, and has a scar on the left side of his mouth, scorpion tattooed on inner lower leg and tribal tattooed on one of his arms.
