The American teenager who went missing in Claremont in Cape Town last night has been found unharmed.
Police say 16-year-old Sophia Lopez-Leyland was found at a church in the area after she was last seen leaving the Cavendish Square mall.
Police praised members of the community who helped find her. A member of the church brought Sophia home and reunited her with her mother.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance is being investigated.
