The Nelson Mandela Foundation has asked that the public respect the privacy of the Mandela family as they mourn the death of Madiba’s great granddaughter Zenani Mandela.

Foundation spokesperson Sello Hatang says funeral arrangements for Zenan are still being finalised.

The 13-year-old died in a car accident while returning from the Soccer World Cup concert in Orlando Stadium during the early morning hours on Friday.

The driver of the car in which Zenani was killed was a relative of the teenager, but neither the foundation nor the police would provide details.
