A man will lose his left arm after it allegedly got caught in a factory machine in Brackenfell.

The thirty two year old man was rolling some hard wood material through two rollers when his hand was pulled along but he was unfortunately not quick enough to remove it.

ER24’s Vanessa Jackson said it seems as though the man's hand was first severely crushed, and then the arm was cut off just below the elbow.

“They bandaged his wounds and kept him calm until the Advanced Life Support Paramedic was able to manage his pain.

He was transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition for further treatment of his wounds,” she said.

The accident will be investigated further by factory officials.
