The African National Congress wants the court to force Murray and the Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg to remove President Zuma portrait.

The ANC Spokesperson says the depiction, titled “The Spear”, violates and defames Zuma.

The portrait was published almost a week ago by Media Organisations, but since the ANC’s complaint, it is now featuring on many front pages.

The Congress of South African Trade Union has come out and condemned the portrait of President Jacob Zuma posing as Lenin.

Cosatu Spokesperson Patrick Craven says it is disgusted at the demeaning portrait.
