The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board has undertaken the first sardine survey flight of the year to East London.

Sharks Board head Mike Anderson-Reade says they found an unusual amount of sardine activity for this time of year.

It is very difficult to predict the movement of the fish.

Anderson-Reade says there is a remote possibility that smaller shoals could move up into KZN during the cold front forecast for the next couple of days.
