Trade Union federation Cosatu says it plans to continue its opposition to the proposed Youth Wage Subsidy.

Cosatu spokesman Patrick Craven says the subsidy is a scheme to provide cheap labour for employers.

He says they are hopeful that the tri-partite alliance’s opposition to the subsidy will stop its implementation.

DA members marched to the Cosatu house in Johannesburg on Tuesday hoping to convince Cosatu to accept the youth wage.
