The ANC is holding a meeting behind closed doors with various Afrikaans organisations’ in Johannesburg
Reports have suggested that the ruling party had called the meeting because of concerns over a growing rift between it and Afrikaans speakers.
The Freedom Front Plus says the ANC has a hidden agenda.
Freedom Front Plus Leader Pieter Mulder says the talks have more to do with the ANC’s forthcoming elective conference than any real concern for Afrikaans people’s interests.
Mulder added that this meeting will break the trust between different groups.
