Today President Jacob Zuma confirmed that Cosatu remains the stumbling block to the implementation of the youth wage subsidy.
DA Parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko says if the youth subsidy was implemented at the original deadline around 300, 000 jobs would have been provided.
Cosatu has stated that they are surprised that President Jacob Zuma blames them for the blocking of the youth subsidy.
Patrick Craven spokesperson for Cosatu says as far as they understand the matter is still under discussion.
