Road accidents over the past weekend in the Western Cape claimed nine lives

On Friday evening on the Goodwood Bridge over the N1, a driver lost control of his vehicle resulting in one person being killed.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said that a gruesome accident occurred just before midnight on Saturday evening on the R27 just outside Vredenburg, the turnoff towards Saldanha. He added that a truck and a motor vehicle collided resulting in the death of seven people, four of which were children and three were adults.

Africa said that on Sunday evening a pedestrian was knocked down and died.
In Sir Lowry’s Pass an accident occurred where two vehicles were involved.

Africa added that one person lost their life.
