Today 200 Social Justice Coalition (SJC) members are gathering outside of the Cape Town Civic Centre.
The gathering is part of an announcement for new service delivery for informal settlements.
The SJC members are hoping this will radically improve the quality of sanitation services.
Mayor Patricia de Lille is expected to join in the gathering.
Social Justice Coalition spokesperson Axolile Notywala said today is a very small step forward and there are still many things to be done.
