WC government launches women’s health awareness campaign

The Western Cape Department of Health yesterday launched its women’s health awareness campaign.

This drive will highlight the importance of Women’s health and particularly on the services available at facilities across the province.

Ministerial Spokesperson Collen Smart said that the following services would be made available: pregnancy testing, anti-natal, pre-birth health services, birth and labor services, information on self breast examining, cervical cancer screening, mammograms and amongst other things.

Women are urged to take full advantage of the free access to a range of health services available at any public health clinics in the province, he added.
