South Africa’s energy supplier Eskom has announced that says it has put plans in place if the planned massive strike over wage demands, takes place from tomorrow.
The state owned entity has failed to reach a resolution with labour unions over wage increases and housing allowances for workers.
Reports say 16-thousand members of the National Union of Mineworkers have threatened to acquire a certificate to go on strike this week.
Eskom's spokesperson Andrew Eitzinger says they are negotiating in good faith.
Eitzinger added that do take the threat of the mass action very seriously.
