Cape Town Central Police are requesting the assistance of the public in tracing an unidentified male who might be able to assist in armed robbery cases.

Police spokesperson Captain Ezra October says since April 2010 numerous armed robbery cases with similar “modus operandi” were reported in Cape Town.

“It is alleged that two males driving a metallic green Hyundai vehicle, approach single females and ask for directions to a guest house. While the unsuspected victims give directions, the one male will rob the victim of valuable items at gunpoint.

“The victims indicated that the suspect uses a big black pistol firearm,” said October.

Any person with any information regarding these incidents can contact the Cape Town Central police station on 021 467 6313.
