Salt River residents and businesses were left in the dark due to a power failure that affected many businesses in the area including Bush Radio with the programmes being affected.
City of Cape Town electricity department said that there was a problem with a transmitter that is transferring electricity to the area including Woodstock.
The problem lasted for more than five hours and business in the areas is back to normal.
