President Jacob Zuma today met with governments director-generals in Cape Town.
The director-generals gave the president a progress report on what they were doing to speed up service delivery and important areas such as health and education.
Zuma issued a stern warning today to government department heads to do their jobs and depend less on consultants.
President Jacob Zuma’s spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said “When people were appointed, it was on merit that they will do their job.
Yet when people get their job, they outsource their responsibility to consultants that the president is very much concerned about.”
