The Congress of South African Trade Union in the North West said they are concerned about the attacks on farm workers.

Cosatu North West Secretary Solly Phetoe said it is alleged that these attacks are racially motivated because eyewitnesses claimed that white farm workers were attacking black farm workers.

Phetoe said these attacks took place in areas such as Brits and Kleinfontein.

Phetoe said it is not the first time such attacks happen because back in the 2000`s there was a group that called themselves Amaporho Amathamara that was attacking farm workers.

He added that the security forces should look at this urgently and protect the workers that are being attacked.
