The Thembalethu and the George police on Monday ensured that six suspects appeared at the George Magistrate court.

The six suspects were arrested in connection with the business robbery that occurred at Truworths in George.

It is alleged that the suspects attacked a security who was on duty at the shop and then gained entry into the shop.

Police Spokesperson Malcom Potjie said they took clothes and some valuable items.

Potjie said the police received a tip-off about a house in zone6 Thembalethu that is used to keep stolen property, police searched the house and found some items that are suspected to have been taken from the shop and some undisclosed amount of cash.

He further said they were arrested and taken to Themablethu police station and then transferred to George police station once they were linked to the robbery at the shop.
