Six people arrested for dealing in drugs in Elsies River

Western Cape Police have arrested six suspects for dealing in drugs on Tuesday.

Constable Phindiswa Gcume said after obtaining a search warrant, Saps in conjunction with Metro police unit conducted a search and seizure operation. 

“They found an undisclosed amount of cash, more than 800 whole mandrax tablets, 46 half mandrax tablets, 24 gram of mandrax powder 57 gram of tik, 0.5 gram of ecstasy powder, 85 ecstasy tablets, 197 small plastic packets, two digital scales,” Gcume added

She conluded by saying that one of the suspects, a 32 year-old male is well-known for his illegal drug activities in the Elsies River area. The other five suspects are aged between 16 and 32.
