Suspect arrested for being in possession of nine bags of dagga

Rawsonville Police arrested a suspect after he was found of being in possession of dagga on the N1 at a truck stop. 

Captain FC van Wyk said police were conducting patrol duties when they noticed bags covered with branches in front of a truck near the weight bridge. 

Van Wyk said when police inspected the bags they found that there were nine bags which contained dagga. 

Police proceeded to search the trucks and started with the one where the bags were found. 

Van Wyk said the driver and the passenger agreed to be search and the police found dagga with a street value of R 534,00.
