Three suspects aged between 24 and 29-years-old are expected to appear in the Tseki Magistrate Court today on charges of rape and kidnapping.

This is after the suspects raped a 15-year-old girl at Chris Hani Park following her grandmother sending her to the shop and she was allegedly kidnapped by the suspects.

Sergeant Mmako Mophiring said while the girl was heading to the shop she met one of the suspects who forcefully took her to his place. Upon their arrival he forced the young girl to sleep over and then he subsequently raped her.

Mophiring said after this the other two suspects came over and also slept with her.

“The one thing that made her scared to go home is because it was late and he also threatened to kill her. However in the morning she managed to escape and reported the incident to her parents who then informed the police” Mophiring added.
