Lusanda Bill

The possibility of a full blown automotive industry strike on Monday is on the cards.
The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) members employed at petrol stations and vehicle component manufacturers have demanded a 20 percent across the board wage hike.
They have also demanded their working hours be reduced from 45 hours to 40 hours per week.
The unions have been offered a six percent wage increase by the Retail Motor Industry and the Fuel Retailers’ Association.
The unions and bosses are deadlocked in the wage issue talks.
If bosses don’t come to the party and give the unions what they are asking for, the country could see a full blown strike of the automotive industry on Monday.
