A man was arrested for perjury after he lied about a robbery at his house, Western Cape police said on Thursday.
Warrant Officer Bheki Xulu said after police investigations the 30 year old man confessed to lying about the burglary at his house earlier this morning.
He told police three men approached him outside his house demanding cash which led to a fight in which he sustained knife wounds.
He then claimed that the men took his cellphone and an unknown amount of money.
The man will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court tomorrow.
