According to local production houses Cape Town still remains one of the preferred locations to film popular movies.
Oscar winner Halle Berry who features in the Hollywood film Dark Tide, recently shot on location in the city. Most of the work was done South African technical and production teams. The movie will be Waterfront Studios.
“We have finished quite a number of long feature films. We are going into a local production, Retribution, and there are quite a number of films in the pipeline. We are very, very confident that this season will see a bumper season,” said the studio’s Executive Director Laurence Mitchell.
