Two years ago a 15-year-old boy murdered his friend a 14-year-old and has now been sentenced to ten years in jail.
The 15-year-old boy stabbed his 14-year-old friend in Durban during an argument they had.
The sentenced came at the request of the boy’s mother.
Magistrate Thomas Nhleko stated that the boy should serve out his jail sentence in Newcastle in northern KwaZulu-Natal, where there is a facility centre for child prisoners.
The Magistrate also added that the long sentence could force the boy to get an education.
