The ANC Youth League has denied reports that Julius Malema will step down as the League's president next year.
Malema was responding to a question at a news conference in Johannesburg on Thursday at a meeting of the youth league’s working committee saying, “My term ends next year and I think those who hate me so much should celebrate.”
The term in office as president is three years, and his term ends April next year.
The Youth league has however reiterated the fact that this does not mean Malema won’t be available for re-election as president.
